What’s the difference between your Standard, Expedited, and Ultra Rapid Genome Sequencing services?
By Sequencing Team, The team of bioinformaticians, Genetic Health Coaches, and writers at Sequencing, helping people use 100% of their DNA and insights from over 30,000 genes to take action on their health.
Sequencing's WGS Kits: Processing Speeds
All of Sequencing’s whole genome sequencing kits use the same 30× technology and produce the same comprehensive data. The only difference between the three options is how fast you receive your results.
Genome Sequencing Timelines
We offer three turnaround options for whole genome sequencing, allowing you to choose the timeline that best fits your needs.
| Whole Genome Sequencing 30x | Usual Turnaround Time* |
|---|---|
| Ultra Rapid | 2-3 weeks |
| Expedited | 5-7 weeks |
| Standard | 8-10 weeks |
*Turnaround time starts when the laboratory receives your DNA collection kit.
All of our kits use advanced whole genome sequencing technology to provide a complete view of your genetic makeup. With these kits, you gain access to detailed information about your ancestry, health predispositions, and other traits.
Choose the option that best fits your needs and begin exploring your DNA. If you have questions or need help, our support team is available to assist you.
Why Turnaround Times Vary
Whole genome sequencing is a highly complex process. It includes multiple stages of sample handling, sequencing, quality control, and data generation. Because of this, Ultra Rapid is the fastest at around 2 weeks, while Standard is slower but equally accurate.
Frequently Asked Questions
